He'll be back to "Truth, Justice and the American Way".

If you believe he wont then you must have thought 20 years ago he would still be pushing up daisies.

Jodi, they didn't change Nick Fury into a black guy.

Am I wrong, wasn't Nick Fury always white until they changed it to the new Samuel L Jackson Fury? I just wish there were new characters developed, rather than recycling established characters to be something different. I would love to see a new strong black superhero come on the scene.

They based the Ultimate Nick Fury on Samuel L. Jackson, but the Marvel Universe one is still the same as he's always been (I hope! -- unless he's been turned in to a Skrull, mass murderer or revealed as a mutant).

From Marvel's editor Stephen Wacker Twitter:

"Got some angry letters today from people mad at Marvel about what we did to Superman."

Is there no end to Marvel's evil??? They've even infiltrated DC now as some sort of "Secret Invasion", and done this..

Greg is right, Nick Fury is still a white guy.
The Ultimate universe version of Nick Fury has always been a black guy.

I have a lot of reasons not to read Superman comic-books these days. This stunt/story is just one more snowflake in a blizzard.

Superman renouncing his U.S. citizenry is just another attempt to turn the Superman we know into Grant Morrison's Superman from the All-Star line, so that particular Morrison's Superman can be the model Superman from now on IMO.

as far as a black Nick Fury is concerned, i agree in that i think the original Nick Fury should stay the way he was meant to be.  i think if they wanted to use a black man of equal import, status, and authority for S.H.I.E.L.D., then do like JB said one time on the matter....use Gabe.
