I'd love to see Ronda Pattison recolor the entire "old" series. I really like what she's doing with the new issues.

You and me both, Nathan. Her pairing with JB is probably the best ever.

I like the coloring on the original series, but think Ms. Pattison is doing a
fantastic job on the new stuff.

I like the palette -- the purples and the lush greens.  It doesn't overpower the art, but really creates a nice texture.

The description of Classic Next Men vol. 1 says that the art is being recolored, but JB has confirmed that that's not the case.

Paying someone to recolor the whole thing doesn't make sense anyways.

William, yes with DVD's or movies on TV, I will sometimes google the online plot, will check if a character is in next week's episode.  Not always, but sometimes.

Thanos, the reason novels differ is two-fold; one I didn't develope the habit.  Two, I have sometimes jumped to the end because I wonder if someone is still alive, or because I'm bored so I'm not going to read the book.  But because novels are long, the climax isn't always in the last chapter, or last few chapters.  In other words, I can't always ind it easily.

But two factors lead to this.  First, if I don't plan to buy a book, flipping thru is the only reason I will buy it.  That always spoils it.  and like I said, the habit started because when I was a little kid I hated to be surprised with "to be cont".  I wanted to know before I'd buy it.

Irony is, I am less likely to look thead, if I'm not anticipating something major happening.

To Joel , Nathan, JB, Wallace, James & Eric: thanks for supporting me on the date 'typo' Pedro Cruz & I noticed in JBNM 35.

To whom it may concern: I'm NOT your buddy... I DO 'ride the wave'. And JB WILL have the typo fixed in the collection. 'Nuff said.

Long live JBNM & Aftermath !

Well, I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know whose loss that is, yours or mine.

Most excellent.

I had no doubt.

One thing I've been wondering about, ever since reading issue 34: In a strange and roundabout way, is Tony better off for the horrible thing that Psycho-Bethany has done to her?

Yes, she was sent back in time to possibly the single worst time and place she could have ended up.  Yes, countless atrocities have been committed against her, and I hope she gets in a few good confirmed kills in the next issues.

But here's a key difference: She is alive, and will live for decades more as a revered figure who accomplished the amazing goal of saving President Lincoln.

Compare that to the Tony of the original timeline, who within a few years was murdered at the command of President "Hilltop"/Van Damme. (I assume the killing did indeed take place off-camera, barring future evidence from that timeline in a later issue.)

So in her quest to terrorize and destroy Tony, did Psycho-Bethany unwittingly save Tony's life?

Neither. I don't know you. You don't know me. Please stop 'teaching' people how to enjoy their comics. I don't do it. You don't do it. Period. I notice the tiny details and typos. You don't mind them. Congrats to you.
