Man, this just gets more and more tense! One event after another, building toward...what?

As it has been with each issue, questions are answered, and more are raised. This particular issue was a real page-turner--just enough info and developments to be satisfying, but enough loose ends to leave us waiting for more.

I'm especially looking forward to seeing how the various time-travel threads work out. A lot of possible ramifications, here--Tony's apparent plan to save Lincoln foremost among them.

And, unless he's lying, DeVere apparently hasn't been triggered by Jasmine. If he is lying, then the potential consequences of that for the timeline would be staggering.

My LCS received damaged copies of JBNM 35/5 this week so I have to wait another week.  Heavy sigh.

Woohoo!  Thank you, Paul!

A couple of unexpected turns this issue -- didn't expect Future Beth to be derailed so quickly.

The art continues to be excellent, especially the differences between the future and the 19th cent.  And I must say, I'm really enjoying the coloring in this series, much more than in the original.

Oh man. What else can I say?
BTW, JB, are there plans for the new issues to be compiled into a phone book. One of the things I look forward to now is lending out the compleat JBNM and watching people have they're minds thoroughly effed.
Tom, I agree about the colouring too!

Great stuff! So much suffering, poor characters. The next issue cover has me wishing it was next month.

This is just a dream come true having this book in my hands again.  I'll third that statement on the work of Ronda Pattison.  She truly has a knack for subtlety.  Makes the images that much more striking.

And may I ask for just a little mercy on Tony?  Geez...!!  You always hurt the ones you love... JB must adore poor Tony!

Looking forward to next issue...

Basically what Greg Kirkman said.

I'm looking forward to getting a breather after #(3)9 comes out... :-)

My store's JBNM batch was damaged as well. The corner at the top of the spines look like somebody tried to dog ear them all at once. Given my disappointment, the store owner was nice enough to lend me a copy: he doesn't plan to return the batch until next week and I have time to return the copy to him. When I asked him how IDW replaces these things he wasn't too clear. If they don't print another set I'm just going to keep the damaged one.

Anyway, surprised to see the future catch up so soon with future-Beth. The Futurians also surprised me in that they seem to believe that things can be "set right". Somehow I don't share their enthusiasm. They seem to make very light the potential for disaster of time travel -- giving rise to alternate realities, for instance.

Seeing Tony getting some payback was a wonderful feeling. Felt like getting an absess removed.

Interesting too how Future-Beth's suit seems to have a flattened and a relaxed setting. Upon removing the helmet, her suit seems to have adopted a more curve-flattering disposition.

Surprised also to see Nathan function as he does. I don't know how much pain is involved in getting ones eyes torn out but I figure I would go nearly insane if that would happen to me.

Very curious as to where Jasmine is taking the plague, or whether the plague factors into the creation of the next men somehow.

Curiouser and curiouser, verily, wot?

It doesn't get better than this...it has been ages since i have rushed to my LCS to pick up a book.

This could easily be a HBO series.
