Yeah. but reallllly big!!!

Actually, my area just got an IMAX in the last year, and it's one of the smaller ones. Hard for me to get too excited about that. Still, I will be seing some of the bigger action films shown there (dramas and comedies don't usually call out for a really big screen, to me).

I heard that about the IMAX theaters, too. 'Course,
I also heard that about "Star Wars, Episode III" and that's apparently not
the case...

No, this is the real deal. I got the news from the webmaster at PSC, and
he just put the teaser info up on the site (www.pacsci.org).

(Since I used to work in the theaters at PSC, let me slip into demonstrator
mode for a moment:)
IMAX is not only really big, but really REALLY big. Each frame of 35mm
film is about the size of a digit of your finger. IMAX film is a little smaller
than the size of the palm of your hand, and 3 times the size of 75mm.

Of course, none of that matters if the film is no good. Didn't "Catwoman"
play in IMAX?

I agree.  I also don't care for the fact that the cape doesn't close over his chest.

2 examples:

1. Son of The Demon - opening few shots where Batman says to the kidnapper, "Times Up.."

1. Sandy Collora's Dead End - Batman jumps to the ground below into a puddle.  He slowly rises as his cape is closed around him.

(Edited to fix my "Demond"...)

Why is it that the International posters always seem to look so much cooler than the domestic version?:

The first one that you posted is being used in BART stations here in Northern California's bay area, I noticed last week.

I've seen all of those posters in local theaters here.

I'm looking forward to the new movie. I don't like the costume all that much but I hope when i see it in action I'll like it better.

I never have liked Ras al ghul, I was extremely glad when Byrne killed him off in generations rather quickly. I hope they'll use some of the better villians in the sequels.
