Well at least it is easier to see the Bat-Symbol on this picture.

Bale doesn't seem to have the chin for Batman in that picture. I've not noticed that before, though, so maybe it's just the angle of the particular picture.

That suit looks worse than the ones with the nipples.

Gotta see the suit in motion before I can really judge it, but...
Am I the only one who was more drawn to Katie Holmes in that image than Batman?

I got high hopes that I'll enjoy the flick, but not having seen this
Batman in action, I picture him walking like the clasic universal
Frankenstein.

Bale's costume appear more claustophobic than the Keaton, Kilmer, or Clooney costumes. If someone would to sneak behind him... Oh Boy!

*****
At least he has more than the negative space which
is Michael Keaton's chin!

Last night, Terry Austin stopped by for dinner, and
since he does not have a computer, I showed him
the trailer for "Batman Begins" online. One major
problem he had, he said, was that this appears to
him to be "the Denny O'Neil" origin, with Bruce
trekking off to Tibet to learn from some sensei
master. Terry feels this diminishes what he calls the
"by his own bootstraps" element of the origin. He
likes that Bruce is self-taught, that he worked on his
own to become Batman.
This aspect does not trouble me, as there was never
any specific point made in the origin that said Bruce
had not sought out the best teachers in the
world, and, indeed, the Batman I grew up reading
had many such -- the origin of the batarang, for
instance, was his learning from an Austrailian
boomerang expert.
Thoughts?

i think it makes sense that a man who has virtually unlimited resources, would take advantage of every expert available,in his journey to becoming The Batman.

Hmmm...y'know, I never really remember reading anything specific, but I guess I always assumed that he had studied under (or the works of) the best of the best. There were some scattered examples (similar to the batarang one) that led me to believe this, but I don't recall ever reading anything that implicitly stated this.
Interesting!
