Don't let it perplex you too much, Jason.  Anthony has proven many times elsewhere on this board how poor his memory is when it comes to things he's said or done involving other people ...and apologies he has yet to make.

Jason -- I remember the beach party and I remember taking a picture like the one my wife showed me, but I do NOT remember the individual girl.  I honestly don't think I ever had sex with her - I think these photos are just snap shots of "good times" in my youth.  My point was just a "WTF" moment I had recently where I was literally looking at pictures of myself with no recollection of having been there., like I had an evil doppelganger or something.

And, Al, you're 100% correct about my memory.  I'd forgotten that I'd taken you off IGNORE, but I've rectified that now.  Thanks for reminding me.

:-)

"Warlow" How does any of those sexually disrespectful, frat boy memories have ANYTHING to do with what this thread is about?

It doesn't Jodi. But it gave him an excuse to call a woman a slut, so it's all good.

Not to mention "likely a hooker."  Casting vicious, hurtful aspersions, particularly about women, is a Warlow hallmark.

JB, when looking at earlier examples of your work, do the shifts in style make you ponder "that doesn't look like my work, yet it is"? I know when I look at things I've written awhile back, sometimes it feels like I'm reading the work of someone else.

It's funny now how easy it is now to see those shifts in style - I remember when JB announced in a Fantastic Four letter column that people would be seeing a big change in his work going forward because he was very consciously refining and improving his approach... and then I couldn't see anything different in the months that followed to my eyes at the time at all.

I was able to see the difference taking place during that FF period, but probably because I read them all in one swoop years after the fact. The changes in style were most visible starting with FF#269 and Alpha Flight #14.

It was actually one of the only few times that I didn't care for the results of the experiment. But I'm guessing that neither did JB, because only a few months later he tweaked the style just a bit further that seemed to "gel" much better.
