I am a bit shocked that the header was not on an overlay on that ASM cover.

It's FANTASTIC that it's not, but, the stat machine must have been ABUSED in a year!

(man, do I wish I worked there in the early-mid 70's!)

When I hit the lotto, I'm going to buy a JB page from Days of Futurepast for me and Carl Barks duck page for my wife.

This was my first piece of original art:

This site led to its purchase of course. (believe the hype, Jim Warden really is that great to deal with)
Never really cared for Superman growing up until I read the Man of Steel mini. LOVE John Byrne’s Superman!
This page really spoke to me. Loved the layout. Adored the fact that I got Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, Luthor, the iconic Superman costume reveal, and a Byrne robot all on one page!
The eye of young Lana Lang in the second panel also stuck me as very Hitchcockian (which was another good thing for me)

How is the piece mounted in the frame? If the front is against the glass That
isnt very good. Over time it could stick to the glass. Never frame any artwork
with the glass against it.

Garett,

I love that page. I wish I had bought it. I love Lana in that last panel saying, "I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!" That was vindication for Lana!

If you ever want to sell it, let me know. I'm calling first dibs! Great page.

Brian, so you suggest always using matting?

They also have spacers to place between the art and the glass that fits on the frame.

Yes always. Glass and art don't play together well, a matte between them is
best.

This is the first piece I ever bought, a Kirby. I remember seeing the image in the CBG and calling the dealer to arrange the purchase. Think it was around $200.
