I would like to take this opportunity to thank JB for sharing so much of his personal life with us.  I've heard it said that a creative person is at least as interesting as his creations, and in JB's case, that seems to hold true.

Thanks again, JB.

John, I'm not sure what to say. It's almost like we've lost one of the family. Thankfully, I'm sure you'll have many more tales to tell about your relationship with Lord Rushton.

I wish you'd tell us the joke though...

So this part of the family, at least, is down to just me now!

Never too late, I just saw a guy in India had his first child at 94 ;)

JB, are you by any chance related to my wife's family on her mother's side (nee Hogan)? My mother-in-law looks amazingly like yer mum in that picture you posted (and, even more bizarrely, yer mum's frock is remarkably similar to the "mother-of-the-bride" dress my mother-in-law wore to the wedding).

My sentiments, Mr. Byrne. At least your lord father had a long and fulfilling life - and that's the best any of us may hope for ourselves.

Studies have shown a disturbing likelihood of a link between older fathers and autistic children. I don't have any right to take that risk.
