JB, this seems like a good opportunity to ask about your feelings on Daredevil the character. I don't think you worked with him very much back in your Marvel days (I can recall a few covers and a guest appearance in Fantastic Four), but your Daredevil commissions always look to me like you've had a blast drawing him.•• DAREDEVIL was not a book a read during those oh-so-formative teen years, so the character has not done much in the way of "speaking" to me. The only time I read the series on anything like a regular basis was while Frank was doing it.

Awesome drawing, JB. You knocked this one out of the park. I love everything about this piece...the use of shadow, the proportion of the legs, the way his body is positioned, etc.

I think that it's interesting that although there have been a couple of Spider-Man commissions in similar poses, the characters clearly are not interchangeable. They have different body types, and they move differently and John illustrates that brilliantly. I am constantly in awe!

Very nice!
JB, to what extent and in what ways does your approach to rendering Daredevil's acrobatics differ from Batman's?

They have different body types, and they move differently and John illustrates that brilliantly. I am constantly in awe!•• Curiously enough, this is a pose I have tried on several occasions to use for Spider-Man, without success! When I came to do this Daredevil piece, and it just "fell out of the pencil" I was quite amazed! (Yes, I amaze easily.) ++ JB, to what extent and in what ways does your approach to rendering Daredevil's acrobatics differ from Batman's? •• Batman is all about the cape. His acrobatic poses are always informed by where the cape is going to fall.

I like the way you consistently keep his boots and gloves shorter than, say, Batman's might be.
Very crisp, very dynamic, very nice commission.
