Yeah, I just looked it up and I think it is too far.  Part of me is tempted to take off work for a couple days, see multiple Dylan concerts and attend both comic conventions (Fanfare and MOC) but I really shouldn't.  I nee to focus my efforts ($$$) on the comic shows.  I really try to avoid taking days off work too so I think I'm cool with missing the opportunity.  I've seen Dylan 18 times already, there will be more convenient opportunities down the road I'm sure.

Thanks for offering Paul.

That's another two hours added to the trip. We'd never make it there in time. Shame it wasn't on Saturday. We could easily have made it.

Ah too bad that show is in Kalamazoo.  Even though if you went you could have gone to Sweetwater's Doughnut Mill.  =)

When I saw that James O'Barr was on the guest list I thought to myself, "Oh cool, I'll have him sign my trade paperback of THE CROW."  I looked through my bookshelves and....no CROW.  I was sure I had it.  Kept looking....nothing.  Went to my local comic shop to buy it.  Nothing.  Out of print since 2002.  I went to the Cincinnati Comic Expo with finding a copy of it high on my priority list.  I asked around at a bunch of dealer's tables and looked through their boxes of trades.  Nothing.

Guess where I found it?  Amazon.  Brand new, 33% off and shipped to my door free of charge about a week later.  Amazing.

So anyway, I have my CROW comic for O'Barr to sign.  I started reading it last night and I must not have ever owned or read it like I thought I had.

Pam and I will be there on Saturday for sure. I've got the VIP pass. Now I'm trying to decide what to get signed. The Spider-Man Omnibus, maybe.

As for Dylan, he'll be here in Ann Arbor on Thursday, in a really nice theater. Of course, there are two other things going on that night as well, and since we've seen Dylan multiple times, we're leaning towards one of the other things.  We'll see.

Since Sunday is the first day of the week, I guess that means the week of Detroit Fanfare has arrived!  I've got one commission already paid for and arranged for pick up at the show and I've discussed an idea with another artist (I'm taking references).  All my stuff I'm planning to have guests sign for me has been set aside.  Busy week for me at work so hopefully it will go fast and I'll be heading north Friday afternoon before I even know it!

Well, I'm definitely free on Saturday, so I'll be going. Still wishy-washy about whether to get a VIP pass or a guaranteed autograph pass.

I'd love to meet up and chat with a few JBFers for a bit!

I hope all of you have fun in Dearborn.  Even though I am not a religious guy I will say some prayers for you!  =P
