MTU #60, the second half of that Yellowjacket/Wasp story with the
villain Equinox.

Thinking back to comics my mom bought for me, I'm pretty sure it was Captain America #254. Can't remember any prior to that.

Alpha Flight #25

Upon getting those last issues, I thought "This Byrne guy isn't half bad". Then when the first Incredible Hulk issue that JB did came out I thought he was a genius. He totally captured how I always saw the Hulk in my head. Then he did it again with Superman.

The first Byrne comic I ever recall seeing or having, was Iron Fist #1, with that Gil Kane cover it's not surprising I picked it up, the splash page of Danny up in the Stark signage stuck with me for my entire life, isn't that crazy!

I had good timing, got on board near the start of the Fantastic Four run:

Probably not the first Byrne comic I ever saw, but the first one I remember distinctly wanting to remember the artist's name so I could pick up more of the same!

x-Men#125. Some scenes inside are so characteristic (Mastermind changing Jean's image, Jean changing costumes, Cyclops's close up, Beast and Cyclops meeting, the Aliens on the Shi'ar world, Phoenix rushing to the rescue and of course, the Phoenix effect on the splash page) that have become imprinted in my mind...

It's possibly a tie between these two:

Norwegian Spider-Man (Edderkoppen) No 2, 1985.
Norwegian X-Men (Prosjekt X) No 2, 1985.
They were released in the same month, but I don't remember which one came out first.
(BTW, over here every year starts afresh with new numbers).

Spider-Man 2, 85 cover:

X-Men 2, 85 cover:

Credit to original scanners for the covers.
