Great Doom, as always!

Paul, pardon me if you've addressed this before, but are you only doing the villains from Ditko's run?

Jeremiah, the plan is to do all of the Ditko villians. Which should take some time. It would be up to JB if he wanted to continue into Romita Sr. territory and beyond. I would be up for it, but I only originally asked for Ditko villians and inquired about Ditko supporting characters. Since JB is doing me a favor finishing this series in the mini format I would not want to push past anything I didn't ask for originally. With how much I am enjoying this series I could keep going to Carnage and beyond. But I will stop with a guy named Joe if that is where JB wants to end it. Being that it will be at least a year or so away, I figure we can cross that bridge when we get there.

Great pieces, Paul! I would like to see what your wall(s) would look like when you have them complete. Ditko's villains, to me, are the definitive Rogue's Gallery for Spider-Man.

>Kirby rarely drew anything the same way twice -- anything more complicated than a jumpsuit, anyway!

>The way the books were done back then, it's not hard to imagine Stan calling Jack up and saying "This Doctor Doom guy looks great! I want to use him in the next issue, with Sub-Mariner!" And Jack thinking "He's coming back already? Better make the outfit easier to draw!"

I don't think so.

Thank you for that illuminating and insightful comment.

My inclination would be to stop when Ditko stops, just as, with the FF poster I did all those years ago, I stopped when Kirby stopped. No disrespect to Romita, who everyone here should know by now I admire greatly, but the villains he and Stan came up with were not nearly as quirky as the ones Ditko gave us.

You're welcome. I'm dazzled from yours.

Last thing I'd espect here was bad cliches on Kirby.

Don't be angry, I'm certainly wrong and you're right.

That is the main reason why I originally decided upon Ditko villians. They have a certain way about them that none of the other Spider-Villians possess. It is official. This series will end with the end of the Ditko villians.

For those of you following don't worry. Ditko was so prolific this series isn't ending anytime soon. Unless my wife opens up the purse strings quicker. ;)

Getting a Spider-Man poster done by JB the way the Fantastic Four poster was done, using only the Ditko drawn Spider-Man cast, would be very cool.

How fortunate, then, that you would be so unlikely to find any!

Too bad, this one, for me, is not an "illuminating and insightful comment", because I didn't understand it.
