It never occurred to me that his 'mouth' moves when he speaks! I assumed that his mask remained static. Some artists draw Spider-Man's mask to have expressive eyes even though they never actually change shape, so I figured that Doom's appearance was portayed in the same way occassionally. Under artistic license.

Mike said : No disrespect to Mr. Kirby, but this is your character. No one does Doom like you do.
--- HEM! Mebbe the second part of your statement was good enough a praise already?

Probably right. But there's nothing wrong with eclipsing the master. And, as a huge Kirby fan, I give nothing but props to the master.

Tension, hate, desperation, spiritual agony... transmited by just an armor. That's really corporal language. One of the best Dr Dooms I've ever seen. Congratulations to the owner and to Mr. Byrne, of course. One Q for Mr Byrne: After many years drawing the character, does it come out that way naturally or have you planned what you want to transmit before starting the drawing? *Sorry for my english

Great looking, Dr. Doom. JB, you have such an incredible grasp on this character in all aspects. My favorite Marvel villian is in such wonderful hands even in a commission. Keep these coming, Paul. Love seeing JB getting the chance to draw Spider-Man's villians.

Wow. Once again I am floored by this. Not only does this wonderfully continue the Spider-Villians theme, I finally add a Doctor Doom by JB into my collection. We seem simpatico when it comes to this series. I wanted this Doom to look and act more like he did in his Amazing appearance. Not the regal looking Doom that became the norm. Just a Doom that is hell bent on trying to rule the world one battle at a time. Perfectly done. The gun is a bonus. Looking at this I can only think how scared poor Flash Thompson must have been. Thank you once again JB for such an awesome series.

Now if I can only convince Paul to not only get every major supporting character from the Ditko run but every character that had an "on camera" line as well. That should keep him busy until he moves on to the Romita characters! =)

8.5x11 -- I thought you could no longer get this commission size? I am wrong! Another great drawing by JB!
