JB, a question for you: Any desire to do any Legion of Super-Heroes stories?

••

None. Don't care for the Legion at all!!

Cool title.  I didn't think I was going to be seeing a Legion member for this commission.  Really awesome, JB!

Nice. I like the subtle shading on his face. I take it that _this_ is the commission you had on your plate of a character you didn't really care for?

Nice Cosmic Boy!! Thankfully, he is wearing that outfit, and not his off-the-shoulder number from the Mike Grell era.

Yup. I accepted the commission more or less as a test, to see if it was still true that some of my best work happens when I have absolutely no emotional connection to the characters, and it becomes all about the drawing.

I'd say that was the case, here. (BTW -- anybody else getting a bit of a Simonson vibe off the flying metal pieces?)

Pink Pearl would've been my only guess.  I'm not very familiar with the Legion.  I like the solid blacks of the costume quite a bit.

Lovely.

And I would love to see JB's take on the Legion, under the assumption that he could do with it as he will to make it something he would be interested in doing. But that would turn into just another complete overhaul on the team, and they need some sort of continuity at this point.

(And and, I see a little Simonson in the metal, but only after you pointed it out, JB.)

Cosmic Boy was fortunate in that, so far as I know, the blacks on his costume did not suffer the usual conversion to blue that beset the likes of Batman, Spider-Man, the X-Men and others. If his outfit had turned pink and blue, it really have been a trifle over the top!

I'm not a big fan of the LoSH, but this picture of Cosmic Boy looks neat.
Hmmm... I wonder which of the magnetic-powered comic book heroes and
villains is most powerful...
