Wow---what an awesome present! I love Kubert's take on Captain America, and it couldn't have found a better home. Congratulations and Happy Birthday, JB!

Happy Birthday, JB!  You've given me ( and zillions of others) many hours of entertainment, and you deserve every ounce of success and happiness you can get.  Beautiful Kubert piece!

JB, has having this amazing piece hanging on your wall thrown off your work schedule?  I don't think I would be able to do anything except stare at it.

Great piece! You're a lucky boy JB! I think Jim will have to stop being friends with you for no other reason than, he can't possibly top this.

Wow. I can't think of a better gift to give to JB. Well done Jim. This is the kind of piece that makes a person envious.

The older I get and the more I look at all the great comic book artists, the more I have grown to love Joe Kubert's work. This is with no intended disrespect to any of the other greats in the industry. But the simple fact that he produces high quality work after all these years makes him stand above his peers.

Once upon a time, nearly 2 years ago, I remembered JB wanting a Joe Kubert Captain America, so I asked Andy Kubert about the possibility of doing soemthing like this, and Andy said that JB had his father's phone nmber and could simply call him himself to inquire about a piece.  Not rude, but more like it would be no big deal for JB to get such a piece from Joe.  Andy could have also thought I was full of shit.  Who knows?  Interestingly enough, I belive this was at the same Baltimore con were I met Jim and Paul and Wayne and sat around discussing JB's artwork and education.  Good times.  Regardless, this is a great gift and I am glad that JB finally got it.
