Okay...so I've got two new faves this summer, and all of the previous beer threads are locked down.
first up...Honey Moon Summer Ale from Blue Moon (actually Coors).
I utterly despise Blue Moon but this is the best summer ale I've yet to find!
Next up...Ommegang Witte.
I love a good witte, and this one is just tasty (not to mention affordable. at $6.49 a bottle).
so what are you drinking these days? found something new?? got something old that we all should know about???
lets talk about cold, tasty beer!!!

I drink something local when it's an option -
But I also enjoy foreign beers, like the following Czech and Jamaican varieties.

Given my eternal battle with my expanding waistline, I guess it's lucky that I do not like the taste of beer!

I only imbibe one glass at a time, and that's usually only once every week or two. Most times, it's Coors Light. Absent that choice, I'll take a Bud Light. I've found that I prefer microbrew ales or lagers, if I'm at a place that serves them, of which there are a few around. In one spot near Baltimore, there's this restaurant called Du Claw. They have a decent brew they call "Bare-Ass Blonde". Another favorite dining-out place that I'd go to would be up in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania: Rock Bottom. That place serves a lager they call "Lumpy Dog". However, given my recent episode with kidney stones, I'll be drinking bottled beer more often than drafts. There's some ingredient in drafts which contributes to stone formation that I'd have to avoid, or at least drink a quart of water to counteract, if it's possible.

Make mine an ale. Preferably a pint of 80 shilling.

I doubt I drink beer more than twice a year and when I do, it's strictly a Corona with lime. And I suspect it's mostly the lime I like, because Corona without the lime is far less appealing.

Brandon...I used to live right down the street from a BJ's in So-Cal (love their Chicken Sandwich). None here in Virginia. I'll have to remember that when I'm back on the west coast!

JB...just curious. Have you ever ventured beyond American macro-brews (Miller, Bud, Coors) or does your distaste extend to the fuller-bodied fare as well?

I'd like to point out that even though I found and posted pics of three beers that I enjoy, I probably only drink alcohol once every couple of months.

I enjoy the frosty adult beverages, though I wouldn't say I'm a beer connosieur. Mostly, because I'm not sure how to spell that word. But also because I'm kinda cheap and don't mind the weak stuff. For home consumption, I usually stick with whatever I can find in 10oz cans, as they fit much better in my downstairs mini-fridge. If I'm "splurging", I'll get a six of Yeungling bottles. If out and about, Yeungling bottles or drafts. Tried a Sam Adams Seasonal Ale at a bar the other night. That was tasty. For the most part, I stay away from brown beer or anything that requires fruit.
