"Why am I covering up her legs?” Ultimately, he wanted her to look strong “without screaming, ‘I’m a superhero.’ ”

But... she is a superhero(ine).

Is it me?

IMP.

Boy, I wish JMS would get himself another TV series deal and get out of the comic biz. The "reimagining" of the origin sounds horrible and isn't a "reimagining" at all - it's a completely different story.  And the new costume.... feh. I do like going back to the original numbering, just for the sense of history it gives the title.

I just showed the new costume to my 8 year old daughter, who is a huge WW fan. Her response; "That's her new costume? It's horrible. She's just wearing regular clothes. They should have kept the old one. It looks more superhero-ish." An 8 year old gets it, too bad JMS et al don't.

Not excusing JMS here at all, but he just called for the costume to be redesigned. Jim Lee could have (theoretically) designed something better. Something that paid some kind of tribute to the original and that wasn't almost completely nondescript.

I browsed through 600, basically each of the stories' fight happen off story. All the stories open with the fight being over or 2 vague  pin ups and then the rest looks like a bunch of people talking about old issues and crap. Lame!!

Reminds me of something they'd have created in the 90's. Oh, wait - Jim Lee.

I actually thought that was a redesign on Wonder Girl at first.  Reminds of Rogue's outfit from the 90's X-Men.

I would love to see JB as an EIC.  Unfortunately a lot of creators would be in big trouble.  Seriously they would have to have issues done 3-4 months ahead of print, stand alone issues, using the every issue could be someone's first issue mentality.  Not sure it can be done anymore.

Lots of still-in-package action figures.

And now ABC World News with Diane Sawyer is promoting the story for their Wednesday night broadcast.
