I really like this one.

I totally dig how there's no hit spark on Doc Ock's face while he gets his face punched in like he deserves, showing the impact.

Think maybe Batman will kick GG so hard he'll knock out his teeth for "daring"  to grab his cape.

…he better watch out for Vulture swooping in from behind!

••

My willing suspension of disbelief works about as well as anybody's, but, y'know, right from the get-go I was somewhat perplexed by the Vulture.

Unlike Hawkman, whose wings are only for maneuvering, not lift, or Angel, whose wings DO provide lift, but leave his arms free, the Vulture's wings are what keeps him up in the air, just like a real bird, AND they are attached to his arms, also like a bird. Used to (and still does) make me wonder how he grabs onto anything, or throws a punch, without tumbling out of the air! Maybe Batroc has been tutoring him!

(Parenthetically, I don't buy the idea that the Vulture is an old guy. It was really Roger Stern who played that up -- Rog has said he thinks the Vulture should be one of Spider-Man's top foes, representing age versus youth -- but when I first "met" the character I just thought he was one of those classic Ditko ugly guys!)

Just clicked thru this years commission so far, and unless there's one (or more) I'm missing, this is only the second time Batman has appear in 2010. That puts him way behind previous years.

I love this idea. Beautiful execution, JB. And I am not talking about what will happen in the next 5 minutes in this scenario. :)

I never thought of the Vulture as a main Spidey's villain... in my mind he was always an old guy that could fly. Not much of a challenge.
As a kid I often thought: "If I were Spider-man, I'd knock out the Vulture in 2 minutes!"

You would think, but he was a member of the Sinister Six, and that alone puts him on the Spider-Man villain A-List in my mind.  Plus, there was that time when a younger guy tried to take over the Vulture identity and Adrian Toomes whupped his butt.  Don't mess with the Vulture -- he's a lot tougher than you might think!

This is what Marvel and DC crossovers should be like.

I understand your appreciation of B/W comics. Taking a long look at your work, it doesnt need to be colored. I like the "oomph" of looking at this without color.
