Beautiful.  That is, and always will be, my favorite Iron Man armor.

Speaking of Iron Man, I just saw the sequel yesterday.  I loved it, and as the credits rolled, I literally shot up in my seat, pointed at the screen, and exclaimed "Hey! John Byrne!" when your name appeared.

It was truly a glee-filled fanboy moment.

Very wonderful. Feel sorry for the people that have to clean up that mess. One heck of a battle.

Damn, just flat out beautiful!

At a recent Comic con, I got the pleasure of seeing one of John's large format commisions and it was just awesome. Seeing these on the screen is beautiful, but in person...I was drooling.

Oh, by the way, beautiful work John

Still need to find out why that's there!

Great, as always. Wolverine really pops out at ya. The differing textures between Hulk and the metal snares really stands out as well.

OK, after studying the full-size scan, some comments:

1. Love Wanda's cape breaking to border (she makes a great damsel in distress, nice choice adding her to the piece)
2. The bold, solid black of Nefaria's costume is perfect.  Great face on him as well.
3. I also like how it looks like this one could be going on at the other end of the same street: http://www.artofjohnbyrne.com/gallery/commissions/commission s-standard/T.HT.G.jpg.php

"(Alas, today's comic fan would look at this and say, "It's the Avengers!
Where's Spider-Man?")"

Y'know, lookng at this for the first few minutes, I was thinking "Why the
heck wold Wolverine be there? He looks so out of place". I had blissfully
forgotten that he's an Avenger now.

Still, lovely piece - and Wolverine does look excellent as always.

Wonderful piece!  I like how there are two battles going on, simultaneously, and yet the piece doesn't look cluttered. My congratulations to the commissioner!
