Jeremiah: Nathan, you are one lucky man!  As an X-Men fan, I am quite envious!  Is the Fantastic Four one yours as well?

-------

I don't own the FF piece.

••

I wonder who does? For some reason I think it might be Jim Warden. But, whoever has it, I haven't seen it in years. Decades, even.

"I believe it was Norm MacDonald, when doing a story several years ago on SNL about Gays not being allowed to serve openly in the British Army, observerved, "One problem, though: how exactly do you tell if a British guy is Gay?"

-----

I love Norm McDonald and as a Brit am used to and even find it amusing how we are often portryaed as gay-ish, or at least not ultra-butch for US consumption (Hugh Grant, Wesley Snipes (30Rock), etc). But a funny example of how the real world is never quite as it seems was on a recent BBC documentary about the eighties, which on one hand focused on the New Romantic scene. Boy George and a few others apart, most of these make-up-wearers prancing around were dead straight - like Duran Duran, and Spandau Ballet. Cut to the emerging Gay scene, and the nightclub Heaven - all the actual gay guys are dressed like super-straight Yanks, a la Tom Of Finland - cowboy hats maybe, or just a trucker/jeans/moustache macho look.

It's changed a little over the last twenty or thirty years, and there are then and now gays who dress 'flamboyantly' like Quentin Crisp, but still the average homophobe cannot generally tell the difference between a straight emo/goth, who he thinks looks faggy, and an actual gay, who he would probably think works on a construction site by the way he dresses.

Anyway, I'd like it if Pyro was both Gay AND British if possible. They aren't mutually exclusive any more than they are synonymous.

Fantastic Piece of art!

JB, was this inked with markers or regular ink?

Also, how long did it take to finish?

Would it be possible for Marvel to offer this as a poster?  This is phenomenal.  I would love to see this colored.

That is a damn fine piece of work, JB.  Maybe if any of the powers that be at Marvel were to see this they might see that you're serious.

Had a little game with myself to see if I could name everyone.  I couldn't.  Time to pull out the 'Essentials' again.

One question tho, is Rachel Summers in there?  (if she's not meant to be then just ignore the question.)

Thanks.

I wondered if that was Nightcrawler's first Bamf! from between the hands of The Sentinel, or a different character I didn't recognise... the smoke & silhouette didn't make it clear it was Kurt, and he is teleporting from another place also, though that's not unheard of... but that was my first guess at the Mystery Guest before I spotted the lurker behind Wolverine.
