Missed opportunities drive me crazy.

••

What was particularly frustrating about it, for me, was that I had no idea who the other character was. They sent me reference, but since I had not been following any of the X-Books I had no "feel" for the character. Guy with a sword -- so that's what I drew. No personality to it at all.

Really annoyed when I saw the coloring, too. This was during that long period (which in some respects has yet to pass) when everything had to be rendered as if made of glass or plastic -- such as Kurt's trousers.

Here's the cover for an upcoming Star Wars collection... wonder if the artist was inspired by JB's FF poster?

••

The way the figures are arranged is more evocative, to me, of the Perez/Ross CRISIS cover.

Yeah...I can see that...

The composition for the FF poster is pretty unique! The entire cast of heroes and villains in a "class photo" arrangement... you don't see that often in comics, right? I did a google search... and I can't find an example of it before the FF poster...

It's insane that this X-cast shot feels small next to JB's Silver Age grouper...

The Silver Age Grouper could be an Aquaman villain!

Much of my collection is framed -- and a good chunk of it is up for display... (check the thread called "JB on the walls")

I have another room to hold art -- but I need to figure out what to do with that room first...

Nice!  Bright colors are great for displaying framed art against.  I'm digging the yellow.

The walls of the house are kinda neutral overall... contrast works well on the walls... and comic art is ALL about contrast!
