I've seen that one. I've always though it odd to have Wiacek do a figure since he only ever inked the book. Perez gets by with an annual.

However, I just noticed that Bill S seems to have inked Smith on Cyclops. What an odd, and pretty cool, pairing.

What's it say underneath JB's sig?

Well, today I took the commission to get framed... should look really sharp when it's done. The wait to get it on my wall is already killing me!

The framing makes these commissions look so nice, you just want them to get it back that day!  "Bah!  What do you mean I'm not the center of the universe??"  Can't wait to see it framed.

JB,

Did you know the X-gig was in your future when you drew this...? Wondering if it was a "try-out"...?

Not really. If you look thru the issue with a sharp eye, you can spot where Dave redrew many of the faces, especially Nightcrawler.

He did the same in the IRON FIST issue that came out the next month, even tho that WAS deemed my "audition" for the X-Book.

That's funny -- I feel the design of your faces have much more appeal than Dave's. I still remember finding a copy of IF #15 (years after it had hit the stands) and thinking the faces looked a little "off"...
