I find this interesting: My girlfriend was looking at the commission last night -- identifying the (few) characters she knew. Storm was pointed out right away -- followed by the White Queen(?!) -- but that was it. She asked who Colossus was -- and she guessed Kitty was the "Invisible Girl". She looked at the drawing a long time and finally said, "this guy looks scary" (the biggest of the Sentinels). White Queen???

I was starting to do it, but even though I recognize every character except one big giant on the far left side -- Is that Shadow King's astral form? -- I had trouble remembering the actual names to some of the Imperial Guard characters. Since I couldn't list them without looking their names up, I figured I'd stop.

It was fun for me to see the latest commission by JB, and somewhat coincidental as I had just scanned an old (1986) drawing of an X-Men montage I did while I was still in high school.

I was able to name them all without a problem, even the Imperial Guard members.•• That puts you ahead of me! When I received Nathan's alphabetized list, I had to look up the Imperial Guard members in OHOTMU. Also, for what it's worth, I would not have been able to name Amal Farouk or Donald Pierce -- at least, not without a whole lot of cogitating!
