BTW, did the Tinkerer rate as one or two figures?

Cool shadow trick!

I love how you drew the Vulture, JB. So often he's drawn as fit and muscular. People forget that he's a senior citizen for cryin' out loud. He SHOULD have a slightly hunched back and an aged look to him.

Once again JB hits a home run. Twice. I love the angle you took with the Vulture. It was a great way to show off his costume and he looks very menacing.

It's been awhile since I read his early appearances. Do they ever discuss what the Vulture's costume is made of? Even when he went to prison in issue 2, he kept the costume/wings on. It has a skin like look to it. I wonder if that was Stan or Steve's original plan?

The Tinkerer is all kinds of amazing. The shadow concept is pure brilliance! Thanks for making this such a fun commission series.

Yessss!

I was hoping there'd be more in the Spider-villain series!

Interesting choice with the Vulture, too--in the early Ditko stories, he didn't draw any "sleeve line", indicating that the Vulture's costume covered his hands (although the colorist made his hands flesh-tone). Later artists drew the Vulture glove-less.

This commission goes along with what Ditko appeared to be thinking with his early art--the Vulture wore gloves.

That's the absolute most menacing the Vulture has EVER looked. Magnificent! Damn, that's sweet.

I've said it before:

The Real Marvel Universe only exists in the sub-atomic particles on the tip of John Byrne's pencil!*

*That is to say, ANY pencil that JB is using at the time.
