That doesn't look like Immonen to me. It looks like one of the Tans. Either Phillip or Billy. I get them confused.

You're right, my mistake. Immonen's the regular artist on the book lol.

••

That's a problem not specific to Layton. There's a whole "generation" or two of inkers who LEARNED TO INK, but who did not LEARN TO DRAW. Thus, they learned a set of "stock" responses to any situation. This is how I ink eyes. This is how I ink feet. This is how I ink metal. Etc.

Especially galling if the penciller, as with, say, JRjr, actually knows what he's doing!

Isn't Layton the artist of the "nippled" Iron Man? Just curious.

 QUOTE:
Paulo, if you are referring to the Avengers drawing; that is Ronin. Ronin is Clint Barton's new ... whatever. This way Bendis could make him a marksman using any weapon, not just a bow.

Thanks, Stephen. So, basically, Hawkeye as a retread of Bullseye.

Blah.

In re: Iron Man's "nipples", I seem to recall it was Jim Starlin who first lowered the chest plugs to that position.
