Wow! My two top choices are already in the thread -- the Adams Batman, and the Kirby Thing.

Well, with those gone, here's my favorite of another favorite…

That middle row just absolute IS the Hulk!

And, for a variety of different reasons, there is and every shall be this…

Given that The Thing is taken a couple times over now, I'll contribute this.  I realize that this is a homage to Wally Wood, but it's still exceptionally striking.

The last panel of Uncanny X-Men #111.  I don't have the means of uploading a picture of this now, but I was impressed!

I mean, who wouldn't be intimidated by Magneto gazing menacingly at you from a chair?  To this day, I regret never having had the chance to follow that comic from that point forward, only ot pick it up again halfway through the "Dark Phoenix" saga...

Of all the times the two have clashed, this is my favorite picture of the
Hulk and the Thing going toe to toe.

This cover immediately springs to mind whenever I think of Power Man
and iron Fist.

And though I usually prefer a less bulky version of the Sub-Mariner, this
image remains a solo standout for me.

believe its from the 60s or 70s it has Superman running or flying toward you with his  fist sticking out.  Has a look  on his face like "you know you're not gonna get away..."

E.J. Hernandez, it wouldn't be this?

When I was young Iron Man became my favorite character with issue #67 but it was the comic and cover that sealed the fact that for me Iron Man was truly Invincible and the coolest character around:

Iron Man actually beating the Hulk but at the expense of his armor shutting down:

This was the first Treasury Edition that I ever bought and with it came my favorite image of The Fantastic Four:

My first exposure to my favorite pulp character; an iconic image to be sure:

------------

Maybe it's because you are actually trying to find the THING sitting in a taxi?
