It pre-dates Starlin.... Around the early Gil Kane covers in the mid-40s, I think. (Working from memory here, so maybe I'm wrong).

I love Adi Granov's Iron Man covers, better than the ones he's currently doing for the X-Men (Second Coming event)...

Coipel has been my favorite artist since 2005...so I was thrilled to see him in Thor. I didn't care too much for what JMS has done in his writing although most people are putting in league with Simonson. I don't understand because what I posted aside, he pretty much had Thor take a backseat and just stand around while everyone else starred in the title. But yeah, I love Coipel's art.

The ad Paulo posted upthread was my first exposure to AF. I LOVED it! They looked so weird (and sexy), whoever these folks were!

Boy, too bad I'm not a kid again! I could see the Iron Man movie, be told there's a COMIC BOOK with IRON MAN in it, run and get an issue, sit down and read about Tony Stark portrayed as a cowardly turd. Not to mention reading Thor in his current disguise as a fat chick. Oh, to be young again!

Here's Starlin's original art for the cover of Captain Marvel #29, with Romita's redrawn face superimposed. In this case, I kinda can see why Romita did the redraw... his face it more iconic, and is better in my opinion.

Brian Kirk posted the Spider-Man image that has been and remains my favorite image of the wall-crawler.

This is the picture I think of when I hear or think Superman. Sorry pic is small, couldn't find bigger pic anywhere. Does anyone got a bigger pic of it? And also, who drew it?: Also anyone know who drew these I've always wanted to know who drew the Hulk in this pose.:

A tough choice for me, but Spider-man by Ditko after the second year (or so) on the character ... there were so many great shots, but the one that stands out for me is from Spider-man Annual 1 (Now that was an Annual!). Ditko did full pages for each of the sinister 6 villains
