Love 'em! Hey, Clark is wearing loafers. I'll never not have George Reeves' 50s style burned in my brain, so I'm always expecting to see Clark wearing prim proper conservative tight-laced black wing tips.

Loafers just seem more logical. After all, he needs to get 'em off in a hurry, most times!

Love the pieces. Clark looks especially cool in that he comes across as a bit frumpy, despite the determined look. Unimposing guy that makes it laughable that anyone could believe he is actually Superman. Beautiful pieces John.

Both great pieces. The one on the left is such an iconic image and iconic images are such a part and parcel of Superman. The conceit of hiding the costume under his clothes is at once ridiculous and wonderful. Some part of me would like to try it sometime before I die... The loafers are a nice touch, and I like the determination etched on his face. The one on the right is brilliant. Reminds me a bit of the classic promo image from back in the 80s. The length of his stride and the bold fists make it a very striking depiction and the look on the face is just about perfect -- stoic, yet friendly.

Incidentally -- continuing from the Magneto/Doom Patrol thread, the bold line work on both these pieces was done with the same PITT brush pen with which I did the entirety of the larger piece. So far the tip seems to be holding up fine. Since I picked up a half dozen new pens the other day, this poses the question of whether my "light touch" is the solution to the brush problem, or whether Faber Castell has FIXED the brush problem!

If Superman will be published here again I want it to have a cover like that.

Love the "skinny" Clark body contrasting with the muscular Superman chest. It's like the transformation is physically happening as the clothes come off.

JB, is the second piece intended as a continuance of sorts from this image?
I like it, btw. :-)

Which reminds me, Lars, that we haven't seen a regular Superman title here since 1991. That's going on 20 years! Superhero books are dead over here :-(.
