Two 8.5x11 requests came in close together, so I thought I'd do them both today. Full size en route to Dan, for the Gallery, as usual.

I really like the Clark Kent one. He's looking determined!

him so skinny in the past... Love the poses tho' -- very dynamic!!!

JB is to Superman that Neal Adams is to Batman.

Both of those are nice. JB, I like the way you draw a Superman who looks
powerful, but isn't too bulky. I remember noticing in LEGENDS you drew
Captain Marvel a little bigger than the Man of Steel, and thinking how it
helped to further differentiate the two.

Uh oh. Now I really want a John Byrne-drawn Captain Marvel
commission! Aaaargh!

I usually draw Clark as leaner than Superman, to avoid that "overstuffed" look that bodybuilders often get when in street clothes.

Sometimes it takes something very little to realize, "I never thought about that before!"

These two images side by side left methinking about what Superman does about his boots. LOL Its a classic image of Superman running and taking off his clothes with the outfit tucked underneath and flying off to save the day. But boots are one of those things he couldn't get away with tucked in.

Fun pictures though. Both of them.

See, now that is how Superman is suppose to look. Not a hint of any actor that has ever portrayed him. Unless JB is channeling someone and I am not seeing it.
