Someone may have covered this but I did not find anything in a search. How tall is Galactus? I've come across him being merely huge and in other places absolutely enormous. Are there any specs?

++

I would answer that with a question....How much energy has he consumed?

≠≠

And another question...What race or species is viewing him?

••

Another of the small joys of my job. Galactus being one of my favorite characters, it is SO FRIGGIN' COOL that things I added have become part of his "lore".

I introduced to idea that he changes size depending on how much energy he has absorbed (and how much is left) as a way of "excusing" the fact that Kirby didn't seem to draw him the same height from appearance to appearance.

And the notion that he appears in different form depending on who is looking at him was my subtle(?) way of thumbing my nose at the nitpickers who wanted to know why he had that big "G" on his chest in the first story.

Good ideas stick. And this page was like a punch in the guts when I read it.

JB, you may have addressed this, but were all of the images supposed to be from races the reader would not have encountered in the Marvel Universe?

I totally missed that those were separate views of Galactus -- the first time I read it I thought those were different alien races reactions to Galactus.  I love the concept that JB added to the Galactus mythos.  He accomplished his job of returning Galactus to Marvel's pantheon of supreme beings.

Not all. There's a Skrull Galactus, for instance. And a Shi'Ar.

Ok, those two just to the left of the third text box were my guesses on those races. Now I want to see a single issue story with Superskrull defending some outpost on a distant planet attacked by Galactus =)

So if Galactus is looking at himself in a mirror, what does he see?
