When I was a kid, I used to get most of my comics at the local Wal-Mart, but there were a few titles that they did not carry:  King Conan, Power Man & Iron Fist, Savage Sword of Conan, and EPIC Illustrated.  So I had to buy them at a nearby convenience store.  For some reason, even tho I was only about 11 or 12, no clerk ever tried to stop me from buying Savage Sword or EPIC Illus., which were, of course, "mature readers" mags.  I'm really glad they didn't stop me, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to enjoy JB's stunning artwork in "The Last Galactus Story".  It's just absolutely perfect, isn't it?

I think JB's art in TLGS is my favorite of his work. I also think this is by far the best by the team of Byrne/Austin/Oliver.

I look at the Byrne/Austin team up on X-Men and FF and other stuff, and they're brilliant, but they were even more incredible on TLGS.  They were really in the zone!.....and of course that amazing script....what a piece of work!

I guess I'm a purist, because, I just don't get that one.

About the one that Garett posted: interesting interpretation of the character.  I guess the artist must like to play with geometric designs.

Drawings like that mystify me. Why put all that effort into a drawing that is, basically, wrong? What's the point?
