I call bullshit on those stats. Galactus has devoured 26 million planets?Considering the age of the universe, that's only like one every 400 years. And who handed him those 564 losses?

Galactus was born out of a previous universe, but he did not start feeding Day One. In fact, if we study the chronology we see that he "hatched" under the observant eyes of a Watcher, at a time when that race was already most ancient.

I figure maybe 3 billion years for incubation, which while a mind-boggling long time still gives Galactus a full 10 billion more for planet eating.

Upon reflection, distance alone would probably keep down the frequency of Galactus' feedings, making him an uncommon but deadly cosmic phenomenon, like a gamma ray burst.
