@ Peter Martin:

Where the heck did that design come from?  It looks hardly like the Big G in my mind!

Did someone come up with a "re-imagining" for one of the CARTOON Network shows?

What you have there is a classic example of people standing too close to the "problem". That's the "reimagined" Galactus of "Earth 610". Called Gah Lak Tus. More realistic, you see.

Yeah, behold..."Ultimate Galactus."

I didn't read the story, but I read about it.  If I remember correctly, there are legions (or would it be armadas?) of these "Galactus-head-ships" that function as one organism.  Or some such nonsense.

Evokes a right proper "Meh." from me.

It might've looked more "realistic", but it was not Galactus.  Perhaps it could've passed for a villain in one of those Japanese animated serials with a vague resemblance to Galactus,  but not him.

I think that there's some confusion going on here...

Peter Martin's post is a "redesign" by artist Kris Anka:

P:R Redesign

That was the picture that Carmen was asking about in his post.

I believe that JB's response was based on the picture in Sue Ward's post above his response, which is from "Ultimate Fantastic Four."

Neither Kris Anka or the "Ultimate Fantastic Four" redesigns work for me. I think the classic Kirby and JB versions are the best.

Actually, Guh Lak Tus is/was a hive entity. Wasn't overly impressed with

it either but it was a new concept.

What I liked was that Reed weaponized a "Big Bang" to deterr the creature.

I'm not a big fan of any of Kris Anka's "redesigns" and his reasoning comes off as a little arrogant.
