Truth? "EVAR" is just because I'm a fan of LOLcats.

HI-larious, cute, and stupid all at the same time.
No other reason but that's the way they "talk".
Thought it'd be fun.
By the way...some great scenes in this thread.
Another of mine is... ...
Amazing Spider-Man #400 After May tells Peter she's known about him being Spidey...then she dies. A very real moment, emphasized by the quotation from "Peter Pan" .
Brings a tear every time...even after clones, and deals with devils and retcons and crap.
Makes me think of my grandmother every time.
Great stuff.

I am also a huge fan of George Perez, and this battle between Thor and Supes is one of my favorite EVER I was sooooo disapointed to see all the Avengers together against Supes ! So unfair ! A true warrior like Hercules would never do this !!! The story is crap but the art is awesome !

My favorite scene is in Batman #258 where Batman frees himself by breaking one of the "batears" off of his cowl.

Reading this story, I remember having the feeling that Kurt Busiek didn't want to show his preference for a character over another, so it seems he came up with the idea that Marvel heroes are less powerfull when they stand on DC Universe's Earth and are stronger when they stand on THEIR Earth : that's the reason why, at a moment of the story, the Flash runs faster than Quicksilver because they are on the DC Universe's Earth and later, Quicksilver runs faster than the Flash on Marvel's Earth... I don't exactly remember the story and at which moment Superman is hitten by Mjolnir, but I think it happens on DC Universe's Earth and so Superman is less vulnerable to magic on HIS Earth than on Marvel's Earth (or maybe the magic of Mjolnir is less powerfull on DC's Earth...) He came up with a good idea with Cap and Batman since they have no power: the two opponents start to fight and very quickly understand they have to join forces to understand what's going on and who is the villain behind the develish plan which led Marvel and DC heroes to fight ...

I just can't get into the whole "who would win if this Marvel superhero fought this DC superhero" trope. These crossovers always reduce the genre down to its most base element: pro-wrestling style slug-out for the sake of themselves. If there are to be such crossovers, I'd rather they skip the inevitable inter-hero fights and just have the different characters interact together in ways that distinguish them from their counterparts. Captain America is a far far different character than Batman, and seeing those differences illustrated through the two of them working together is a lot more interesting than having them square off.
That said, yes, George Perez's art on those pages is just stellar.

Also, I enjoyed the Batman and Captain America scene from Batman and Captain America by JB where they are fighting in their civillian attire. Both are getting nowhere and each realize who the other is.

Superman is less vulnerable to magic on HIS Earth than on Marvel's Earth (or maybe the magic of Mjolnir is less powerfull on DC's Earth...)•• Bupkiss. Superman does not have a SPECIAL vulnerability to magic -- he is vulnerable to magic in the same way EVERYBODY is vulnerable to magic. Unless something has completely STRIPPED Mjolnir of its enchantment, there is no way 'round that fact (as I have stated many, many, many times) that Thor hitting Superman with the hammer would be like an enormously strong man hitting another enormously strong man with a sledge. In other words, the guy on the receiving end is going DOWN. The REAL question in such a fight would be, since Thor does not have Superman's speed, how he would manage to hit him AT ALL. (Incidentally, the whole thing is incredibly contrived, anyway. Previous cross-company crossovers, beginning with SUPERMAN vs THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, which set the "tone", IGNORED the whole "two Earths" nonsense and simply treated the heroes as if they had always been on the same Earth, and simply had not met before. That satisfied everyone but the most anal fanboys -- the same anal fanboys who eventually took over Marvel and DC and started messing things up.)
