Marvel Team-Up #70 - Spider-Man and Thor
The scene where Thor destroys the tugboat thrown at him by The Living Monolith ranks as one of my all time favorite pieces of comic art. Ever.
Thanks again for that JB.

Not to be a suck-up, but I've enjoyed the famous scene from Uncanny X-Men #132 of Wolverine in the sewer. I had read the story years after it was finished (I wasn't born until after "The Dark Phoenix Saga" had been concluded) and when I was just starting to read comics, one of the early series I read was X-Men and while the story was interesting, I wasn't all "gung-ho" about Wolverine until that scene. Probably one of the first characters I thought of as "cool".

The end of the Masters of Evil sieging Avengers mansion, when Captain America is rummaging through the debris. He finds a picture of his mother torn in half and he begins to cry. Love that scene. If it happened today, it would lose a little impact. Captain Marvel could just tell him to take it to that kiosk at the mall and they can fix it right up. +++That´s an awesome character bit. Great bookend to six issues of mayhem.

In terms of "action", my favorite bit is when the Hulk throws a car at Batman, who jumps and smashes through windows coming out the other side. Garcia Lopez. You have to see to believe it.

Okay, this one's recent, so it's a bit early to call it the "Greatest scene EVAR!", but it's the first thing that popped into my mind while reading this thread. So, in the second issue of Siege, Norman Osborn's invasion of Asgard is starting to go awry. Ares learns that Osborn lied to him (about Loki being in charge of Asgard) and turns on Norman. Norman sics the Sentry on Ares, but Sentry loses it and kills Ares. While every one is reacting to that, Osborn gets an "incoming" warning from his armor. He spins around and we get our final page:

So we get three panels of the same drawing, only slightly modified for the shield? And, pardon me for asking, this is the GREATEST scene you've ever seen reading comics?

One scene that always tugs at my heart is from Fantastic Four #257. It is the one where Sue and Reed go and check on Franklin in his hospital room. Love the dialouge. Always gets me choked up.

One scene that really pulled me into comics when I was a boy, even though I never picked up the issue itself to add to my collection, was that one in Uncanny X-Men #108 (JB's debut as UXM penciller along with Tery Austin on inks). Wolverine is confronted by one of the alien android guardians of the M'Kraan Crystal. One panel, Wolverine is striding up to the little android with a grin on his face. Surely the little squirt can't be that big of a threat now, can he? Wrong'o! POW! To make a joke: It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's Wolverine being turned into a human golf ball by an alien midget android with the strength of Superman. These days, he'd be so tough that the little guy probably wouldn't even put a dent in him...
