I remember this being brought up before!...

I got a copy of this record off eBay years ago. It came in a sealed envelope within the envelope that the seller sent it in. I noticed that the interior envelope had "Queen City Records" printed on it, but I had forgot that was the original company that distributed the records. So, I carefully opened that envelope and noticed how really nice-looking this 40-year-old record looked. That's when I realized that the album was still in brand-new condition and had never been played before.

Sam, you're welcome.

And, the resemblance is uncanny!

I never read the ads as a kid - I took advantage of the print medium allowing me to skip the ads, which TV would not allow.  This is a neat thread.  It's always good to see ads from the past.  At the time, they seem perfectly fine.  But it doesn't take long for them to be horrendously out of date.

I had a similar experience watching an old VHS from the early 1990s with the commercials not cut out of the TV show.  Pretty interesting to see.  They are little time capsules.

Nice that they told you up front that it was an imaginary story.
