Never in a million years did I ever imagine that an ad for a Frank Zappa album would have been featured in a comic... groovy!

Shaun, that was an ad for Frank's first album, no less! Frank was cool!

Hey, Matt... do you take requests? Wasn't there a Mego comic book ad (somewhere in the mid-/late-70's) that featured every single superhero doll they made up to that point? I've been looking for that in back issues for a couple years now, and have yet to stumble upon it again...

I guess they weren't allowed to mix up the characters.

Robert White... you rock!!! Those indeed look like the ones! Any idea what month's issues those would have run in '77? I'm guessing it must have been a Marvel... I honestly don't recall any Mego ads in any DC Comics ever (for some bizarre reason, it must be said!). (Edit: And a hearty thank-you!)

I remember seeing a series of TSR Dungeons & Dragons RPG ads done as a comic story within several Marvel comics during late 70's and early 80's... The thing that stood out about them was that the art was done by Bill Willingham (prior to his Elementals debut). For the life of me, I can't seem to find any issues in my collection with 'em...

More like early 80s than 70s... This one is from FF 233, Aug '81
(Also, the artist in the rest of the issue ain't too bad...)

Yeah, Steve... I think Willingham's run came after what you posted (seem to recall the D&D party scaring a red dragon with some magic sword).
