Bill, DC was a wee bit over-enthusiastic; I believe there were pilots made, and the over-optimistic publisher just jumped the gun. The Flash made it as part of the Justice League on The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure, but the male chauvinists kept Wonder Woman off the roster (and, thus, out of the cartoon). I seem to recall a screening of the Plastic Man pilot at a convention some 30-odd years ago; we didn't miss out on much. If memory serves, it was based on DC's "revival" of the character - Woozy Winks was replaced by a bespectacled, plaid-jacket-and-bow-tie wearing "pre-yuppie"-type [named Gordon K. ("Gordy") Trueblood], and this Plas was the son of the original(!)* *I have the same problem with this that I have with Reed getting Sue pregnant -- with a rubbery consistency, how do these guys--y'know...how do they...well...y'KNOW... At least the Elongated Man could just lay off the gingold if he and Sue (Dibny) wanted to >ahem!< "get frisky". Sue: "Hey, Reed! Y'got wood?" Ben: "Naw, he got RUBBER! Haw! Haw!" Many, MANY apologies to Stan 'n' Jack.
