No, but Mark Waid _did_ resurrect that panel in an issue of his very brief X-Men run, and seemed to be a factor in Xavier becoming Onslaught.

Sounds like the usual "woe is me" romantic situation from many Marvel comics. Didn't Scott take up that particular cross with Jean?
