Besides the two Clint pieces(this one and Sabertooth), I think John has dabbled with coloring a few other commissions. Machine Man springs to mine, and the Plastic Man pose from a few years back.

JB--How did you land the assignment of inking that Devil Dinosaur cover? You were still a "rookie," relatively speaking. Right place at the right time?

How did you land the assignment of inking that Devil Dinosaur cover? You were still a "rookie," relatively speaking. Right place at the right time?•• There were two "last issue" covers that came thru the office, needing inkers. One was DEVIL DINOSAUR, the other was MACHINE MAN. Quite arbitrarily, Shooter gave the DEVIL cover to me, and the MACHINE MAN to Bob Layton.

I would have loved to have inked Jack Kirby's work or even to watch him work! ___________________________ I would have loved to see him drawing. I have a few friends that go to art school and I never get tired of seeing how much effort they put into their work.
