I think the thread title should have been "what's black and white and red all over?"

••

Aww, MAAAAAAN! How did I miss that one???

WOW!

Wonderful work! Perfect use of color on an all b&w background! I want one of those...

Why isnt DD & Moonboy in a series today?

Looks cool.  I like the color.  Who is the monkey on top?

That's Moon-Boy, Devil Dinosaur's constant companion.

Not too late to re-title the thread!  Although now that I think of it, it may be too long.

My first guess was Hellboy.

This is really nice. Love the color added. So much going on in one commission.

Congrats to Clint.

Ran into this image and just thought it interesting to see a Triceratops shown as the antagonist for a change.

....and Clint makes a rather triumphant return I would say!  Looks great!  The red works perfectly with this piece.  Devil Dinosaur without the red would be missing something for sure!

I think I even started a thread about this once but I'll reiterate it here:  there is absolutely no reasonable explanation as to why there isn't a DEVIL DINOSAUR cartoon now running in its 30th season.

I don't recall ever hearing/reading that you'd inked that Devil Dinosaur cover, JB!

Was that your only time inking the King, or were there a few other instances?

(And great commission... totally unexpected, but not unsurprising, given it's for Clint's collection!)

I've inked Kirby a few times, but only twice (that I recall) directly on the pencils. The others were done on overlay (which is how I would have preferred to do the DEVIL DINOSAUR cover, but I was told not to.)

Large image is up in the gallery now.  Very interesting to see the color up close!  Moon-Boy looks great too!
