Fantastic work, JB.  Ben and Johnny look to be in a bit of trouble...

Meself, I basically think of a dry lake bed.

Great commission.

I particularly like the dry river bed photo and reference.  Makes perfect sense.  Thanks for the insight JB....

PS, as of this piece, the Thing joins Wolverine with three lines on the Character Count chart.

Thanks for the response, JB; I have tremendous respect for the late Mark Gruenwald and his accomplishments, but he sure dropped the ball on this one, and right on his foot.  Didn't he have a Rolodex and a phone?

Re: the King of Debris title -- let's just call it a draw, and we can all go home friends; do we really want a Rubble War?

As far as your version of Ben is concerned, I'm sure Jack and Roz Kirby are smiling down on you from Heaven, knowing Ben's, at least partially, in such good hands.  Keep those commissions coming!

I don't know about calling George Perez the King of Detail.  You are pretty detailed on what you draw too, JB.  I really like this piece and seeing Thing ramming that steel column in Gladiator's chest and the steel splintering everywhere, I would say you got lots of detail.

That is all kinds of wonderful!  Total action with some awesome destruction.  I love the breakage!

Amazing work, JB!

Congratulations to Joe Hollon on a well thought out commission idea.  It was back and forth for a bit but I think the right pick prevailed here.
