I hate this one. Why does IM need hooker boots?

Hawkeye's Uniform, Captain America's gloves, the Vidson's cape and cowl, some goggles possibly from Wonderman(to hide his cracking energy eyes), a helmet(from Antman maybe?), and the belt pods from the Iron Man Armor(I think they are batteries or a power storage device).

Although I liked the classic Red Gold that seems to have been around the longest, it was the Red/Silver that got me into collecting, and was a bit cheesed off when that went and was replaced with the new Red/Gold, which I didn't like.
Until it was drawn by JRjr, and then it was the best armour ever. Since then I've not seen anyone else come close in making Iron Man look so good.

I believe that for the most part the best costumes should be iconic; that Batman should look like a bat, that Spiderman should be creepy crawly. That said; I can't see anything about Iron Man in this design. It seems more like the Silver Surfer. When I think about "iron" I think rivets and construction bars that have a weight to them. This has none of that. Nice painting though.

The one Flavio says he likes best is the last one I've liked. None of the others after it work for me.

Fraction's comments sure seem familiar . . . oh yeah, I've read JB saying the same thing. Last night, I watched a show about the psychology of Batman and his enemies where Dan DiDio said something like, "I always say the villains should be stronger than the hero - that's what makes the hero great." Yeah, YOU always say that. I've read/heard that in numerous interviews with different creators before.

What I didn't like about the lead-up to the Red-and-Silver costume ( which I like, BTW) was that in all the components we saw before issue 200, none of them were the same as the final version of the armor. The closest anything came was the chest plate, but it was colored wrong. And I'm not a fan of the new armor. Too many "light holes". As a reader ( especially a young one) I would expect him to be able to fire blasts form each one of them. And I doubt this is going to be the case. If they wanted leaner or sleeker, they should have gone back to the "classic" red-and-gold armor. Every suit after that one has gone away from a smaller design.
