The list at the top of the thread has been updated to include JOHN BYRNE'S FANTASTIC FOUR ARTIST'S EDITION (including details on the contents), THE HIGH WAYS, and Pedro's additions.  Thank you, Pedro!!

I picked up a copy of THE HIGH WAYS trade yesterday, and it looks wonderful.  The cover gallery features the B&W alternate covers, which I missed and was glad to see included.  The paper is glossy, recreating the original look of comics.

Very cool, Jodi!  You will rally dig it - the ANGEL VS. FRANKENSTEIN and LORNE stories are gold.

Bumping this thread for those who are braving the crowds in San Diego at Comic-Con.  I don't go to a lot of conventions, but I went to Wondercon and picked up some really good, cheap trades on the convention floor.

Page one of this thread has a pretty good list of JB books for your perusing pleasure while waiting in those long lines.  The list has been updated with the recently issued JOHN BYRNE'S FANTASTIC FOUR ARTIST'S EDITION and THE HIGH WAYS.

Some of the recent additions to my JB book collection:

JLA "That Was Now, This Is Then" is not new - it was released some time ago.  I had the original issues and hadn't read it in a while, but it is a great read and definitely should be on your bookshelf as a trade.

COLD WAR is an excellent read that has new treasures when you revisit it.  The "silent" opening is reminiscent of "Many Deaths of the Batman", and the book is a cool spy thriller.

And in anticipation of TRIPLE HELIX, check out TRIO for supehero action of the slam bang variety!

Yes, I won't be in San Diego - I've only been to the big San Diego show once, and it was really great.  Conventions are a "once-in-a-while" thing for me anyway.  I go years in between conventions.

I preferred the lighter crowd at Wondercon in Anaheim.  I also blew a bunch of money at Wondercon and I don't trust myself to attend a convention for some time!!
