Does anyone have a list of all IDW work that JB has done?

Thanks!

"To underscore Tim's words, you don't need to be a TREK fan to read these stories. There are extra layers and "Easter Eggs" if you ARE, but they are unrelated to the direct telling of the stories."

I subscribe to that. I'm not a Trek fan at all and watched precious few episodes of the original series (never watched two of the main JB inspirations, for exemple, "Balance of Terror" and "Assignment Earth"), yet not only I could follow all those series easily, but also enjoyed them immensely! They even interested me on the original series! Now I want to see those episodes I missed!

Same for JB's Angel. Not only I'm not a fan of the series, but disliked what I'd seen. Yet I loved JB's take on the property.

Marc, the IDW material is incorporated in the main list on page one of this thread.  I didn't separate the material by publisher, but the IDW includes the following:

ANGEL

BABE - series 1 and 2 included in the DANGER UNLIMITED trade

COLD WAR

DANGER UNLIMITED - IDW edition features BABE, series 1 and 2

FX

JURASSIC PARK

NEXT MEN - all material is IDW, and the Dark Horse releases are noted.  I thought it was important to note the Dark Horse editions as they include cool introductions, but the early ones don't include M4.

STAR TREK

TRIO

And coming soon.....

JOHN BYRNE ARTIST'S EDITION: FANTASTIC FOUR

THE HIGH WAYS

DOOMSDAY.1

I agree about Angel - JB was my intro into that character, and they are unique and cool stories that opened me up to this world.  Through my perception, the show was based on JB comics as I read the comics first!

Anyone picking up the new STAR TREK collection should know that IDW published a similar edition that collected all of JB's Angel work.  It's a really sharp hardback:

This cover is really amazing when you hold it in your hands.  Like the other JB IDW hardbacks that don't have dust covers, the images are printed with a glossy print, while the blacks are a matte finish.  The contrast on the final edition looks neat.

That Angel hardcover gets some pretty heavy action at my place - I think I've read it completely over a dozen times, and that doesn't count all the times I've just picked it up to look at it and read a few pages here and there because it's just so pretty.

Tim,

Thank you!  I have all of JB's IDW Star Trek work in TPB.  I also have his F/X and Trio TPBs.  I had no idea he did so much ANGEL work.  I would like to have that JB Angel omnibus, but I will wait to see if it comes out in trade paperback since I don't like to buy hardcovers.

Don't forget the three pages JB drew in Uncanny X-Men #273.

Is there a color version of the Byrne/Claremont Iron Fist run?

Yes, just not a cheap one. It's available on two Marvel Masterworks:
http://www.amazon.com/Marvel-Masterworks-Iron-Fist-1/dp/0785 150323/
www.amazon.com/Marvel-Masterworks-Iron-Fist-2/dp/078515955X/

A bit too much for my poor wallet, but it IS available...

Thanks, guys!  I updated the Iron Fist entry to include the Marvel Masterworks.

I don't think those editions are for me - I read JB's Iron Fist for the first time in the ESSENTIAL edition, and I really like it in black & white.  Whenever I have seen it in color, it doesn't look right.

Coloring was all over the map on IRON FIST. The ESSENTIALS definitely display the art to better advantage -- not that it really deserves being displayed to ANY advantage, after all these years!!

It holds up really well, JB!!  I read both IRON FIRST and DOOMSDAY +1 recently, and the strong storytelling is there from the start.  I know the art would improve in a short time, but the story, pacing, and cool "camera angles" are all there.
