Jodi - Drive In movies----------Still alive and well in Ohio - my gf and I went 5 times this summer. there are two in NE Ohio I used to go to often when I lived up there a couple years ago. I should say 'still alive' not sure about the 'well' part. The one I go to in Columbus is always packed but many have closed down in recent years up north. I don't understand why they have closed though, every time I go to one it is packed.I saw a news piece on a preacher in FL who is using an old Drive In theater for Drive In Church - I'm not religulous but I would go to a church like that if there was a Super Psycho Synergetic Eleventyist church near me.

. . . toys in cereal boxes.

See them every once in a while, but it used to be a given: little plastic cars, rockets, rings, whatever.

They still make Fruit Stripe gum....or have started making it again, anyway. Sadly, don't think it had the zebra mascot on it last time I saw it.

My whatever happened to? Blueberry flavored Hubba Bubba gum and Apple Crush soda.

(Anyone know of a decent apple soda, aside from Jones Soda's green apple soda, which tastes more like green apple candy than actual apples?)

As far as apple soda goes Brian, I thought this was pretty good:

http://www.applebeer.com/

They've stopped carrying it at my local specialty grocery store, but I've stocked a few in my fridge for New Year's Eve toasts.

I had no idea this item existed.

Oh, and I saw Fruit Stripe Gum at my local grocery store, complete with Zebra on the label.
