Matt: Forever takes the things from where Claremont left, but to tell new stories. It is true that back then he wanted to kill Wolverine for a year and that editorial refused. For the reasons you said it was not acceptable to them. But X-Men Forever isn't bound by the same rules as the main books. I don't know if Claremont will bring Wolverine back or not. I can imagine he eventualy will if he has new interesting stories he wants to tell about him when all the interesting stuff resulting from his death will be done, but for now Claremont said he considers death as a begining rather than a end. I interpret those words as being about the impact of his death on the other characters. Also it makes room for the other characters. So far i'ld say that Cyclops is pretty well writen in Forever, and believe me a well writen Cyclops is something i missed in a long time.
