SM 2099 was a great series, my favorite of the 2099 project, at least until PAD and Leonardi worked on it. I have just a couple of following issues (where Rick Leonardi is replaced by Andrew Wildman), but I didn't like those so much.

Darn Sam Raimi and that slippery slope. This is where the "organic webshooters" road ends:

Don't let Marvel see this! Delete it before any hot writer gets any bright ideas!

I did enjoy the Doom: 2099 series, I didn't much care for the rest of the line. Actually, I didn't much like the 2099 SpiderMan until his short run with the Exiles.

Thinking about the Exiles got me wondering... maybe we would rather have the Spider-Man of Earth 615, or 617... maybe an alternate plane is the best way to mix & match and fix Spider-Man for Earth 616.

Okay, I have to ask, why is it Earth 616?  I thought only DC did the multiple Earths.

It was the number assigned to the regular Marvel Earth in Captain Britain during an interdimensional adventure.
