Okay I am not trying to defend the organic web shooters.  They should have just left things the way they were.  But I never liked one of the arguments against it, the one that said that the web would have to come out of his butt if they were organic.

This link diminishes that argument somewhat.

Anyway, I still like the mechanical web shooters.

I get the chills when Tobey gets the urge to squirt the other character's mouths or worse yet their faces.  Ewwww.

Nice find !
I'm 100% for the mechanical shooters but I find hair splitting geeks annoying at times.

How come they could forget we're talking about a fictional character with the
proportional strength and surface climbing hability of a spider (!) in the first place?

Mechanical webshooters just seem a lot cooler. That's the only adjective I can think of to explain it.

If they used mechanical webshooters in the movie, that would have established Peter Parker as a genius.  In no way, do I get the impression that Tobey Maguire is a genius - he just seems like a dork that got super powers.

More to the point, why did Raimi forget?

Mebbe because a teenage inventing a mechanical web shooter from scratch
doesn't necessarily make more sense?

Without question I'll go for the original and I complained about Raimi
changing this in the movie but I find ridiculous the way some people
argumented against it.

Giving Spider-Man organic webbing in the movie was a needless change
that takes away from an important aspect of the character.
