I've been waiting and looking and now it's here. I think Sal is as good, if not better, than he's ever been. He did one of those variant covers for the Bucky-CAPTAIN AMERICA comic and is the only guy I've seen make that costume look really cool. That in itself proves Sal's better than a horde of other decent to good artists at Marvel.

Sal is the only artist I place above JB. He was on the Hulk when I started collecting and his artwork just blew me away. JB was on FF, Sal was on Hulk, JR Jr. was on Spider-Man, Miller was on DD and Zeck was on Captain America. Those were the days. How could you not get hooked on comics with that kinda lineup?

I'm in for both!

It is funny, while I have never had a problem with Sal's work, it is after years
later that I REALLY appreciate and like his work.

I was the same with Jack Kirby. I was always "not impressed". Years later I
love both artist work and try to get my hands on all their work.

Funny too, is that the person that I felt inked them best is Joe Sinnott.

Then again, who inks better than Joe?

yes, Sal is tremendous. I've read hundreds of books by Sal, all the while thinking I hated his work, then realizing I read those hundreds because of Sal.

And scoff if you want, the first about 28 issues of Rom are still among my favorite comics ever.

You know, this is really funny, I was going through "the Defenders" and was wondering why Sal isn't given more love than he is.  He did a Batman issue that I thought was some really great stuff.

And, his pencils and Bill Sienkiewicz' inks rock.
